About Me

Hello and welcome to Mind & Body Balance, please let me introduce myself.

​

My name is Carrie and my whole working life has been about helping others predominantly in the health and fitness industry by being a fitness instructor, personal trainer and massage therapist on board cruise ships, a former physiotherapist in the NHS and case manager for those with brain injuries.

​

Since 2010 I have personally been practising mindfulness and meditation and decided in 2018 to train to be a mindfulness teacher, which I did with Breathworks. Mindfulness has helped me personally through multiple bereavements, work burnout, through pregnancy, and after. This is why mindfulness is now my main focus in life, to help myself, those around me and others learn how to live a more peaceful, joyful and fulfilled life despite whatever challenges we face.

I have the background in how the physical body works and now I also understand more about how the mind works and impacts our health, this being the mind-body connection. When our mind is not functioning to its full potential it often affects the body and vice versa. My passion lies in helping others improve both their overall physical and mental health and wellbeing so that they live a happy, contented and peaceful life with Mind & Body Balance.

 

I’m here to provide you with mindfulness tools, to hold a space for your experiences, bring community together to share our learning and to live our best life.
